The CDP is the training and development program that prepares young graduates for roles as future managers in commercial, marketing, supply chain or operation area. The program provides the opportunity for these new employees to gain diverse work experience and to learn the Air Products (AP) business, products, technologies and culture.
Several divisions within Air Products China participate in this development program including Business Operations management, Commercial and Operations. The CDP program is successfully used to develop our employees at Air Products locations.
The CDP will fulfill three assignments, each lasts about 8 - 12 months in different functions or groups of Air Products in Southern China sub-region. The assignments would be a role in Customer Engineering, Business Operations management and Merchant Commercial as designated by the hiring department.
CE Engineer in Supply Chain Execution team (12Month): The incumbent is responsible for planning, executing, commissioning of customer station installations that include LB and MB in accordance with company specifications, legislative requirements and safety standards. Regularly undertake with the minimum of supervision, work of a specialized nature requiring high proficiency skill and training etc.
Assistant Asset manager in Business Operations Management (8Month): The incumbent is accountable for supporting asset managers on onsite asset management of Tianjin and/or Cangzhou, Northern China. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, customer engagement, contract development & management, asset operation decisions, payment collections, franchise development, as well as taking the lead to coordinate activities of all stakeholders to achieve P&L targets.
Sales Supervisor in Merchant Commercial team (8Month): The incumbent is responsible for achieving various sales targets for the designated area. Filed sales is the frontline AP’s representative interfacing with our end user customers, introducing AP’s products and offerings to bring value to our customers. Responsibility include: Hit the new signing target which is critical for our continuous growth in the area market; developing new business through aggressively pursuing prospects and achieve profitable new signing target through working with GAD; managing a few existing accounts in the designated area through working with inside sales. Driving margin improvement and continuous productivity. Ensures the full cooperation between the inside sales and fields sales to achieve profitable business growth in JJT & Cangzhou area.
For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be provided.
Every CDP is assigned a senior manager to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
The CDP is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues, supervisors and mentors.
After the three assignments finished, each commercial CDP will settle in a permanent position as designated by the hiring department in all cases the talents and the interest of the CDP will be considered when determining the best position.
Recent Master / MBA graduates with outstanding inter-personal effectiveness and communication skills, while bachelor’s degree of engineering background e.g. Chemical/Cryogenic process etc. is a must;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customers and influence internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills either through the candidate’s area of study or their previous work experience.
Ability to create/run excel spreadsheets, and power point slide presentations to communicate business projects supporting the growth of industrial gases for AP China
Excellent English skills both in written and oral;
Open, proactive, ability to work effectively in teams and keen to learning.
Ability to work independently and find solutions to complex problems
